Tuornen and Alamie rebellion continues. Thanks to the Tieghan family
diplomatic savvy, Mhoried joins in their rebellion.
While the east coast of the Empire is locked in battle with Khinasi armies
bent on revenge for religious crimes made in the name of the Emperor, the
rebels inflict severe losses on Boeruine, taking several nobles hostages,
and occupying Seaharrow, getting control of one of the most important port
of the west coast.
Cariele and Talinie, having to deal with their own troubles against the
elves, are effectively cut off from the rest of the Empire, with little or
no help coming.
After more than a year of skirmishes, with wins and losses on both sides,
the rebels plan their assault on the City of Anuire, to depose the
Emperor.
Tuornen infantry and pikes, led by Lord Tannen Tieghan, twin brother of
Lord Regall (who lost his life in the Giantdowns against the Gorgon, also
following one of the Emperor's extravagant commands), sail from Seaharrow
with a mighty fleet, to assault the City of Anuire from the sea.
The Mhor heavy infantry and archers have commandeered all river barges
from central Anuire, to position themselves on the eastern side of the
City.
From the north, Tuornen Silver Knights led by Lord Regall's son Ansen and
daughter Erin, and Alamie's Order of the Phoenix, led by Niobhe
Alamie, march with a great host of knights, pikes, archers, and artillery,
to lay siege to the capital.
The Emperor has called his remaining legions to the capital, and has
"ordered" the Patriarch of Healyn to excommunicate all the rebels, which
he refused. Tensions run high inside the court.
The Church of Haelyn, having spent the best part of the last two years
trying to bring order to the chaos generated by the Emperor's extreme
zealotry, remains loyal to the Empure. The One True Church has confirmed the support of two of its militant orders, the
Templar Virgins, and the Guardian Angels. The Patriarch hopes that the
rebels, especially the Silver Knights, will stay their hand when faced
with holy warriors of Haelyn.
Having defeated the Dukes of Taeghas and Diemed in the countryside of Avanil, the rebel
army prepares for its final battle.
