Year 642 MR (2nd quarter)
The armies of the Giantdowns are victorious, and the orog hordes are on the run. The Heroes conquer the fortress of Zakkhur, but do not wait behind sturdy walls to finish their enemeies. Their pursue the fleeing orogs north, and put an end to the Blood Skull Barony. While the Baron is kept prisoner, Konesh is killed by Signar, who takes his bloodline.
Year 642 MR (3rd quarter)
With their task done, Machteld decides to travel to her family's lands in Brechtur, to stop the marriage of her eldest daughter. Malik and Signar decide to go with her, while the others remain in the Rjurik Highalnds to further their claim on the former Blood Skull Barony.
Niobhe, Vladimir and Trevan travel to Valkith, where they ransack Konesh' treasury, and bring the spoils to their fortress in Havenwood. With the Baron still in tow, Vladimir divests him of all his domains, and tranfers them to Niobhe and himself. Then they lock the Baron in a dark cell, still pondering on its fate.
Trevan travels to Lemnjohen, where he finds that prince Sigurd is back, though changed: his eyes are pools of clear ice, his skin is pale, and he does not seem to suffer the cold. He sits on his father's throne, at his side the magical greatsword Eternal Winter. Sigurd welcomes Trevan, and blesses his relationship with his sister, princess Rowena. It seems the prince is set on ruling the Giantdowns, in case his father should not return from his quest against the Gorgon, or the Blood Skull Barony, which he plans to rename Jotunvik.
Meanwhile, King Hrothwulf and his companions gather a mighty host of 6,000 souls, among them Rjuven, Dwarves, Anuireans, and Vos. They cross the river from Vjethelma, and invade the Gorgon's Crown. The Gorgon sends his trusted general Kiras Earthcore with an army of 12,000 humans and humanoids to stop them, but the Heroes kill Kiras and his pet monstrosities, and pushes the defending army south. The mighty dragon Raizhadik, the Black Dread, soars in the red skies above Kal-Saitharak. With doom looming above them and their armies, the King and his companions find a way inside the citadel, through the lower caves where the wyrm makes his home.
